For insured patients
As is the case with visits to your physician's office, we request a payment at the time of service. If you have insurance or other coverage, a SRMC Insurance Verification Representative will verify your insurance coverage and estimate what your financial obligation may be. Since most insurance companies rarely provide full coverage for a hospital service and require policyholders to pay a deductible and/or co-pay, we will estimate and request your initial payment for services at the time of your admission. After your insurance company pays us, we will send you information about any additional amount, if any, you may owe. While your health insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company, we will work with you in an effort to collect the full amount of benefits from your insurance company.
For uninsured patients- Are you Eligible?
CHARITY CARE
An uninsured discount is provided to all patients who do not have insurance. If you are uninsured or medically indigent and the services are for Inpatient or Emergency Room care, you may be eligible for an additional discount or full write-off under the hospital charity care policy. For more information you must contact a hospital financial counselor by calling 804-765-5557, complete an application and provide proof of income.
PROGRAMA DE CARIDAD
Un descuento para gente no asegurada es proveido a pacientes que no tienen seguro medico. Si usted no tiene seguro medico o es medicamente indigente y recibio servicios de hospitalizacion o servicios de emergencia. Usted puedo ser elegible para un descuento adicional o probablemente le ajusten su cuenta medica en su totalidad bajo la poliza de Caridad del hospital.
