Application for Candidacy Has Been Granted
We are pleased to announce that our application for Candidacy has been granted for the associate nursing program. We received official notification in April, 2012. Candidacy is the first step toward NLNAC Accreditation. Candidate status does not guarantee that a program will achieve initial accreditation.
Our nursing program faculty and staff are conducting a self-review and preparing for the NLNAC Site Visit scheduled for February, 2013.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Receives Continued Accreditation
The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is pleased to inform you of its vote on September 21, 2012 to award continuing accreditation to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (general concentration) at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA.
