The Speech Pathology department at Southside Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is dedicated to providing excellent and comprehensive treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Our Speech Pathologists are licensed by the state of Virginia and have obtained a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Language Association. Our full-time Speech Pathologists have over 30 years of experience and have received exceptional continuing education in the areas of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
In addition to providing one to one services on an outpatient and inpatient basis, we are able to offer advanced treatment of speech and swallowing disorders through the use of excellent equipment and treatment tools provided at SRMC. At SRMC, our patients’ families are an integral component of our patient-focused treatment plan. We strive to educate and provide each patient’s family with the knowledge and information needed to play an active role in the recovery of their loved one.
