SRMC Education Services provides a variety of critical care educational programs and resources to enhance and ensure competency for nurses providing care for the critically ill. The critical care topics are provided in traditional classroom and web-based intranet formats.
Traditional Classroom—Basic Arrythmias, Critical Care Course, 12-Lead EKG in 12 Seconds
Traditional classroom programs are supported by web-based internet learning activities; an individualized user name and password are provided for class participants.
Dates are posted in the Programs at a Glance_Course Calendar (available on the SRMC Intranet Education Connection). Ask your manager and/or assistant manager to register you for classes in the Education Services Center (Program Registration folder) on the SRMC shared drive.
Additional critical care topics are scheduled as requested. Flyers for upcoming events are available on the SRMC Intranet Education Connection in the Critical Care Education folder.
Web-based Intranet—A variety of topics are available in the Critical Care Education folder on the SRMC Intranet (both in Education Connection and in the Everyone folder). The Critical Care Education folder has educational programs on:

- Basic Arrhythmias
- AV Heart Blocks
- Philips Monitoring
- Hemodynamic Monitoring
- Swan Ganz catheters & Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP)
- SBAR Communication
