New Graduate Support

“No one ever succeeds without help...”

Donna Wilk Cardillo, R.N., Entrepreneur, Author and Leading Expert on nursing career management

SRMC strives to assist and support new nurse graduates making the transition from total novice to successful professional. All SRMC nurses with less than one year nursing experience are invited to participate.

The New Graduate Support Program includes:

  • Professional Growth & Development
  • Critical Thinking and Communication Skills
  • Developing Professional Relationships
  • Technology-based Support Program

The technology-based support program is a web-based site (wiki) that provides a discussion area for sharing experiences, concerns, suggestions for performance improvement, and emotional support, as well as a direct link to the facilitator for “private” discussion and support. Wiki discussions are considered “confidential” and are not discussed with anyone without consent from the participant.

Each New Grad is given an individualized User ID and Password and encouraged to participate. The wiki can be accessed at: https://srmcrs.pbworks.com/session/login?return_to_page=FrontPage

If you need assistance or have any questions, please contact Kathy Colbert at 804-765-5939 (or Ext. 5939).
