Same Day Services (SDS) is a 34-bed unit on the second floor where patients are prepared for surgical, interventional radiological, cardiac cath, interventional pain procedures and endoscopy.  After their procedure/surgery, patients return to SDS to recover and be discharged home.

Blood transfusions and IV infusions, including Remicade and Reclast, are also performed in SDS.

Patients are conveniently registered just before entering SDS.  Families receive pagers to allow for quick communication pre and post procedure/surgery.

Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) is part of Same Day Services, and is located on the first floor right next to Patient Registration.  Patients scheduled for surgery or certain procedures go to PAT several days before to have blood work, x-rays, EKG (if ordered) and a pre-op assessment completed.
