Can't make it to an informational session? Prospective patients can now watch an online video and take an online quiz that will meet the requirement set forth by the accreditation board for bariatrics prior to a patient entering treatment. By attending one of our free informational sessions, you’ll meet Dr. Datta, and he will provide the following information:

• An overview of the Southside Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery program and an introduction to the bariatric team
• Obesity and its affects on your health and life
• Your surgical and non-surgical weight loss options
• The postoperative changes you will experience
• Patient success stories

After the presentation, Dr. Datta will be available to answer your questions.

We encourage you to bring a support person, so that they may learn about the process with you. Your support person will be an important member of your treatment team as you begin your journey.

If you plan to attend one of our informational sessions, there will be a few forms to fill out for insurance verification. Please feel free to print these forms and fill them out before attending the informational session.
