On Tuesday, November 26, Southside Regional Medical Center (SRMC) partnered with the American Red Cross (ARC) to host a community blood drive at the hospital. The drive collected 29 units of blood, which means this drive saved up to 87 lives! Thanks to the staff, volunteers and media who participated, SRMC was able to help increase blood donations during the busy holiday season. On Saturday, November 23, 2019, employees and volunteers spent the day at Southside Regional Medical Center (SRMC) sewing together sleeping bags for homeless Petersburg, Virginia residents. Multiple volunteers from all areas of specialties at SRMC, as well as family members of employees, participated in the project.
